This guide explains how to edit an Organization Chart for your company’s structure and reporting lines.
1. Log in to your portal (e.g., yourcompany.instaff.org) as an Administrator.
2. From the left-hand menu, go to Company Directory.
3. Go to Organization Chart tab
4. Select the following options:
- Department - Select the department from the dropdown menu to use it as a filter. Positions added to a department will only be visible within that specific department.
- Layout - Select how you want the chart to be displayed.
- Show Vacant - Enable this to display currently vacant positions.
- Compact View - Enable for a simplified viewing layout.
- Drag & Drop - when this is enabled, you can move the employees between positions, however Edit buttons are hidden during drag mode.
5. To add a new position or person, click +Add Position (green button).
6. Enter the required details.
Note: The new position will be added to your Organization Chart.
7. To edit an existing position, click the Edit icon on the upper right of the box.
8. Update the necessary details.
9. Scroll down and click Save Changes.
10. To export, click Export and choose PNG or PDF format.
